Gerrit in den Haak is the first mate of the ferry Rozenburg<--> Maassluis;

This ferry is crossing the busy Rotterdam New Waterway every 10 minutes.

The crossing takes only five minutes and gives close view of in and outbound ships

The ferry had this week a very heavy load on board

A hughe  100 tons mobile crane was transported across the river

In the past a regular visitor to Rotterdam , now on a "saying goodbye" sailing, the vessel  is sold to start another carrier as cruise ship
